   hello, if you want to update the software, you need USB download cable and software. or can’t update it.

   I bought this mobile in Singapore, it’s working fine.
   My problem is to know how to synchronize with Microsoft Outlook, to replicate Contacts and Calendar.

   Yo hablo espaniol, pero no tengo ni idea de lo que preguntas, jaja yo creo que si, ya que en otros equipos mas sencillos puedes poner las fotos para que aparezcan cuando te llaman.
   Te queria preguntar por este equipo, si tu lo tienes, me puedes decir si es buen equipo, te ha funcionado bien?, que tal es la recepcion del telefono? y si navegas bien por el internet?
   Me gustaria conocer la opinion de alguien que ya tenga este equipo antes de comprar.

    some asorted answers from a satisfied user of this phone.

    there are some software to sync with outlook… but it doesn’t come with the phone and therefore doesn’t support it very well… for instance the calendar won’t be recognized although the agenda will get the primary phone and contact name (but u can use an option that allows u to use vcalendar file exportation; it’s a bit slower and annoying, but it’s what i know so far)… i will post when i find something really useful in this matter.

    as i was saying, the sync is not complete… but you can access to a lot of functions and to the contacts and sync them with outlook with Mobile Master… a third party suit that works on several cellphone brands. Some people say it works with mobile edit as well, but i can’t confirm that as i never used it.

    about the software… this model comes with an incredibly good OS, an RTOS called Nucleus made by mediatek the same manufacturers of the phone’s processor.. but you can’t update it, you would need to reflash the phone with a special UART cable (not the included usb) wich you need to sold it to the chipset previously (in other words, a pain in the ass… ); I wouldn’t recomend it for two reasons:

    1. a phone OS shouldn’t grow much.. it becomes unstable, my older Sony Ericsson became almost unusable after the third update…

    2. if u want more functions there are java options, and u don’t need to ruin your phone.

    now, about the apps and games, let me say i’ve already got like 200 hundred games and like 32 or 33 apps… you should look for Java games and apps… that support this screen resolution (240×320), and that allow full touchscreen control… some of the games i got at first wouldn’t work because they were waiting for me to press a key… there are some games i’m using that were modified to support touchscreen control with a kind of virtual keyboard… you should look for games that work on lg (specially) or nokia or samsung that has that screen res, and full touchscreen support (real or emulated).

    first couple of times i plugged in my phone it didn’t work with my laptop… so i plugged it in TURNED OFF and it worked as a memory adaptor, so i thought omg this is so useless… but i discover later that it wouldn´t work automatically without the micro SD card INSERTED on the phone. when i just plugged in after i inserted the micro SD… the phone offered me 4 options: treat the phone on the usb connection like a storage device (pen drive), like a webcam (awesome!!!), like a picture bridge (as in a photo camera), or like a gprs modem… so u just insert the micro SD… if it doesn’t work… it would be a problem with the usb cable… as kakatech said… use the micro to transfer files while you find and replace the cable…

    Parece ke esa funcion no la incluye el teléfono… créeme ke la he buscado y al parecer no la tiene (eso he encontrado ke dicen en los foros), claro ke si la encuentras alguna vez… postealo acá para saber como se hace !!

    El teléfono es realmente bueno… lo he usado para más tareas ke las ke puedes imaginar.. el internet funciona de maravilla, la señal no deja kejas, el funcionamiento es de maravilla… ojo ke no es como algunos lo pintan(algunos dicen ke la camara es de 8Mpx o de 3… pero es sólo de 1.3Mpx, otros dicen ke es lo mismo ke un iphone y ke syncroniza con itunes y ke puedes descargar de la itunes store gratis); pero no tiene uno de ke kejarse con todas las prestaciones a ese precio!!

    I have been using one of this phone. I tried a number of time ot update the Opera Mini to a newer version ( I think it is V4 that workd with this phone) but cannot do it for a number of reasons. In Opera, can’t bring up the keyboard or under WAP it will not complete the installation. Any suggestion how it can be done? Thanks.

    Como faço para conseguir o manual deste aparelho?
    O meu problema é que o aparelho não esta disponibilizando o icone referente as cameras, desta maneira só consigo utilizar a camera frontal pois é a única que esta sendo disponibilizado no monento.
